How To: Hulk Birthday Shirt Tutorial

Hello! We just finished up celebrating my youngest sons birthday! He is now 2 years old! My time has flown! I had so much fun with his birthday party this year. We decided to go with an Incredible Hulk theme :) If you knew my son this is just such a fitting character for him. Our rough and tumble little man.

So I made 2 birthday shirts. One for the birthday boy and one for his big brother to wear.

Here is How I did this step by step!

Supplies you will need:

2 copies of the Hulk Image
2 Foam Paint Brushes
Exacto Knife
Green Fabric Paint
Black Fabric Paint
White Fabric Paint
Small Paint Brush
White T-shirt

First Step Get a Piece of Card board a put it inside the shirt so your paint doesn't bleed through to the other side.

Center the Shirt over the card board where you want the image to be. I used some little clip's to hold the shirt in place so it didn't move while I was working.

Next take the first image of the Hulk that you printed and cut the entire face part out. Don't worry if you go up into the hair line a bit. It will get covered when we do the next stencil.

Place the stencil on the shirt where you would like the image to end up on your shirt. I put a couple clip's on the sides of the paper to hold it steady.

Now take your green fabric paint and fill in that hole!

When you remove the stencil this is what it should look like.

Take your second print out of the Hulk image and cut out all of the black areas to show the features and define the face.

Place your image over the green area and make sure its lined up over the face in the right places. See how the green is up in the hair line a bit? Totally fine we are going to black it out. Clip it in place.

Grab you foam paint brush and apply the black paint all over the stencil until it is well covered.

Remove the stencil and this is what it should look like now. I took white fabric paint and painted his eyes and teeth in free hand. See the finished product below :)

I also added in some words. So I just typed them up and printed them off in the size I wanted. Cut them out and the lay them on the shirt where you would like and paint them the color you want. I chose black.

I hope this tutorial was helpful to you!
